Lazy Day

Sitting in front of the TV watching the Trooping of the Colour with one eye while I do some work on the web site with the other. What a crazy achievement - a reign of seventy years is not something we are likely to see again in an increasingly republican world.

But how dare I have a lazy day, I hear you protest. Why am I not furiously bashing the keyboard to get the next book out? Well, I have [published five books in less than two years, which I never thought I would ever be able to do, so maybe I'm due a break. Plus, the next two or three books are ... well, it's really important I get them right, so I want the plots for all of them to be just right before I actually start writing.

Plus, and you heard it here first, I've decided on the next series. Not saying what yet, but I'm working on that too.

And if that wasn't enough to justify taking a lazy day, I'm going to be spending the next three days manning a stall at some Steampunk and Craft Fairs near where I live - and that's a lot harder than people think.

Right - where's my tea and biscuits?
